House Du Pointe

"Ishgard belongs to it's people. Without those who live, bleed and die for it, the Holy Seer is naught but an empty set of cold stones."

About the "House Du Pointe"

Long ago, House Du Pointe started with the founder of it's lineage, Lord Maximilien De La Pointe, who acquired minor nobility and was the first of his name - the De La Pointe. Not only his mental and physical prowess was remarkable, but also of his descendants, granting the de La Pointe a steady rise on the eyes of High Houses willing to seek the sons and daughters of the La Pointe to guarantee strong and reliant Knights, especially on arranged marriages.House Du Pointe also offered training to it's own conscripts, many who were orphans seeking a better life than the Brumes, some who had heard about the tales of the first of it's name, Lord Maximilien - and others who had nothing else to loose. It's soldiers were trained to be the best among it's ranks, who worked under the leadership of the Sons and Daughters of the De La Pointe.
However, with the end of the Dragonsong War, things must change - and so house Du Pointe.
Once a House focused on war efforts, on training and raising the best Knights and Soldiers among it's rank, now the Du Pointe shifts it's view.
The newest Heir of the House Du Pointe is still of young age, being tutored and taught by the current head of the De La Pointe on more than warfare - his teachings also includes world politics, diplomacy, paths that will sustain the minor house Du Pointe and the De La Pointe even if there is no war to be fought.
The House Du Pointe itself offers to those affiliate to it not only safe harbor for those willing to join, but also military training and a possible path to Knighthood.
War Orphans, survivors from the Brume, those who lost everything and those who are too wounded to find a path of it's own, even foreign that are searching for new beginnings, those are always welcomed on it's grounds. With the recent end of the Dragonsong War, House Du Pointe also offers a haven for those who are lost without the war - reeducating soldiers and breaking old codes and norms to teach those who are too used to war on how to bring peace. It's soldiers and Knights are being taught now how to be "Peacekeeper Knights" - not anymore only weapons to kill, but a shield to protect those who need.
That role of leading the new generation of soldiers was given to Aurielle, the oldest daughter of the De La Pointe, by the current Lord of House Du Pointe - Lord Étienne de La Pointe.
To those affiliated to the House Du Pointe, yet not members of the Peacekeeper Knights, the house offers contracts for their specialized skills. Be it by Levequests, supply contracts or missions that will requires highly specialized individuals.
